He surpasses his own benchmark during race in Telford
Manx athlete, David Mullarkey, has set a new Isle of Man 10k road record.
Competing in the Telford 10k race on Sunday (11 December) for Leeds City AC, he posted a time of 29 minutes and one second, finishing fourth in the standings overall.
It beats his own previous record in the category which he'd set during the Leeds Abbey Dash in 2021.
Fellow Island competitors, Dawn and Paul Atherton, were also amongst those involved in the Telford race.
Dawn posted a time of 41 minutes and 26 seconds, just twenty seconds off her personal best for that distance.
