Manxman has already made encouraging start
Manx athlete, David Mullarkey, has taken another step in his career journey by recently signing a professional contract in the USA.
The Island competitor has accepted a deal with Florida State University and has already made a positive start across the Atlantic.
After a strong run of seven minutes and 58.86 seconds in the 3000m contest at the Razorback Invitational on 28 January, Mullarkey then posted a time of 13 minutes 44.14 seconds in the 5000m contest at the David Hemery Invitational on Tuesday this week (14 February).
His start to 2023 follows a good end to his campaign last year which saw him set a new 10km road race Manx record of 29 minutes and one second at the Telford 10k competition on 11 December.
