Young competitors represent England in Madrid
A trio of Isle of Man athletes put in strong performances in hot conditions during the recent World Athletics Race Walk Challenge in Spain.
Northern AC members, Tim Perry and Holly Salter along with Manx Harriers competitor, Honey-Mae Davies represented England at the event in Madrid on Sunday, 31 May.
Both Salter and Davies were part of the Under-18 Women's 5km event with Salter completing the course in 29 minutes and six seconds whilst Davies crossed the line shortly after in 29 minutes and 48 seconds.
Meanwhile, Perry was involved in the Under-18 Men's 5km event and posted a time of 25 minutes and 49 seconds.
Separately, fellow Isle of Man race walker, Erika Lockley had been due to represent England in the Senior Women's 10km race but had to withdraw prior to the meeting.
Heading into the occasion, Isle of Man athletes accounted for four of the five members selected to be part of the national squad.
