Manxman to link up with national squad for event next month
Manx long-distance athlete Ollie Lockley has been called up to represent England in European competition next month.
He's one of three men's competitors named in the national side to take on the Copenhagen Marathon in Denmark on Sunday, 5 May.
Lockley will be joined in the male squad by fellow Leeds City runner Jason Hall as well as Ross Braden of Kent AC.
The Island man's selection comes after he managed a half-marathon time of one hour, three minutes and 44 seconds back in October 2023.
Elsewhere, four have been named in the England women's team for the event.
They are Leeds City's Heather Townsend; Chelsea Baker of Bristol & West; Stockport's Sally O'Gorman and Melissah Gibson of Ealing Eagles.
