Island-based athlete a finalist for this year's Scottish Women in Sport awards
Isle of Man-based athlete Nikki Arthur has been nominated for a prestigious Scottish Women in Sport (SWIS) award.
The long-distance competitor is one of three finalists for Sportswoman of the Year in the 2024 SWIS Awards alongside cyclists Neah Evans and Jenny Holl.
The awards ceremony is due to take place on Friday, 1 November.
Among her individual accolades so far in 2024, Arthur won the women's class in the Spine Challenger North event at the grueling Spine Race meeting back in January.
Elsewhere she was also the fastest female Isle of Man competitor at this year's London Marathon in April in two hours, 55 minutes and 31 seconds before claiming a top-20 finish for Great Britain during the 70km SkyUltra event at the 2024 Skyrunning World Championships in Spain last month.
Outside of competition, Arthur has also recently been co-ordinating a pilot performance programme locally which has been aiding 33 Island athletes with mentoring, facility access and performance services around their studies.
