Manx runner smashed British 100km record in event last year
Isle of Man long-distance runner Sarah Webster is set to defend her Anglo-Celtic Plate title later this month.
The Northern AC competitor is one of the four-strong female squad representing England at the 100km event taking place at North Inches Park in Perth, Scotland on 24 March.
Last year Webster - the 2023 Isle of Man Veteran Sportsperson of the Year - stormed to victory in a time of seven hours, three minutes and 40 seconds - smashing the British record over that distance in the process.
In 2024, she'll be joined in the women's team by Melissah Gibson (Ealing Eagles); Julia Davis (Newquay Road Runners, Robbie Britton) and Samantha Hudson dos Santos Figuiera (nee Amend) (Belgrave, Andrew Walling).
Elsewhere, there will be four runners representing England in the men's section - Michael Young (West Cheshire); Alex Milne (Hercules Wimbledon); James Turner (Lewes AC, Alison Benton) and Ollie Garrod (Belgrave).
