Manx Radio’s coverage of the House of Keys general election steps up a gear this evening (Monday) with the first in a traditional series of programmes.
Each looks at one of the Isle of Man's 15 constituencies and all of the candidates standing have been invited to Broadcasting House.
Would-be MHKs will make a short speech, introducing themselves, before taking part in a debate on local, national and international issues.
The programmes start just after 6pm and the series begins with the three candidates in Ayre.
Presenter Roger Watterson says they are a good introduction to the hurly-burly of political cut and thrust (listen to audio file below):
The 15 constituencies will feature in alphabetical order, with Beth Espey presenting the programme on Castletown tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.
All the programmes will be repeated, from 8.05am, the morning after the initial live broadcast.
Polling day is Thursday, September 29, when there will be contests in all 15 constituencies for the first time in at least quarter of a century.
