Last gasp defeat to Deeside
Hockey - Bacchas men were away at the weekend at the North Indoor Hockey qualifier.
They opened with a 5-1 defeat to City of York but improved to see off second opponents Northern Hockey Division One side Didsbury.
An Alex Bell hat-trick, George Harrison, Whitings Andy and Chris and Jamie Brown goals ensured a 7-4 win.
That result saw them qualify for the semi-finals where they drawn against Deeside Ramblers who ply their trade in the National League North Conference.
It was a nail-biting match and ended in disappointment for the Manx side - who had been 5-4 up with just two minutes to play.
The Ramblers however made their experience known as they fought back to overcome Bacchas by 6 goals to 5.
