Bacchas lost 1-0 to West Derby in the first round of the English Hockey Trophy on Sunday.
The winning goal came from a penalty flick despatched by Kevin Ryan on 18 minutes.
The Manx side were missing Jonny Callow, Tom Evans and Richard Le Page.
Bacchas had the ball in the net twice - the first effort was disallowed as the shot from a short corner was too high and the second because the umpire had blown for a short corner.
The match was fairly even throughout but Bacchas failed to convert the chances they created.
Man-of-the-Match for Bacchas was Andy Vernon-Browne.
