14-time winner says new teammate Rousseau 'ticks all the boxes'
Reigning Sidecar TT champion Ben Birchall says the fierce competition in the class is 'good for the sport' heading into the 2024 races on the Snaefell Mountain Course.
The 14-time winner has a new passenger this year in world championship competitor Kevin Rousseau after Ben's brother Tom Birchall announced his immediate retirement from racing in late 2023.
Among those expected to again challenge the Birchall supremacy this year are FHO Racing pairing Peter Founds & Jevan Walmsley as well as Manx duo Ryan and Callum Crowe.
Elsewhere in the field this year are defending world sidecar champions Todd Ellis and Emmanuelle Clement who make their TT debut in just over one months time.
Speaking about his new teammate, Ben says Kevin 'ticks all the boxes' whilst Rousseau was quick to highlight his colleague's pace and experience:
Boxing: Jade Burden gets new date for title fight
Athletics: Manx competitors make up majority of England race walking squad
TT 2026: Moto Twelve & CFMoto to debut this year
Shooting: Morgan and Walker take the silverware
Football: Pulrose edge in front in Combi 2 title battle
