Rugby star describes Island's sporting potential as 'massive'
Rugby union star Bevan Rodd has described it as 'an honour' to be crowned Isle of Man Sportsman of the Year for 2023.
The 23-year-old received the accolade as well as being inducted into the Isle of Man Sport Hall of Fame during the latest Isle of Man Sports Awards ceremony in Douglas last night (28 February).
In the last twelve months, the former Buchan School student helped England to a third-placed finish at the Rugby World Cup and assisted Sale Sharks to their first Gallagher Premiership final in 17 years.
What's more, Rodd has heaped praise on the talent coming out of the Island, describing the sporting potential here as 'massive':
