The ninth annual Manx Youth Games are being staged at venues around Douglas today (Saturday), after a big opening ceremony at 10am.
Hundreds of school children are competing in the twelve sports on offer, namely athletics, netball, cricket, tag rugby, tennis, badminton, basketball, hockey, squash, swimming, table tennis and girls' football.
The Bowl is the venue for the opening ceremony, because a new athletics track is being laid at the National Sports Centre, making it unavailable.
