
BMW is to return to the Isle of Man T.T..
The German manufacturer's last official T.T. appearance around the Mountain Course was 34 years ago in 1976.
BMW is the sixth marque to enter T.T. 2010 joining Honda, Kawasaki, KTM., Suzuki and Yamaha.

BMW has recorded 30 T.T. wins - the vast majority in sidecar racing.
They first raced on the Isle of Man in 1937 - two years later Meier won the Senior - the one solo race success.
BMW is competing in the World Superbike Championship - Peel resident Andrew Pitt is one of the two riders.
For the 2010 effort at the T.T., Rico Penzkofer will have a full factory-spec bike at his disposal.
He finished 5th at the Macau Grand Prix in November riding for BMW.
34-year old Penzkofer made his T.T. debut last year in the two Supersport races and left the island with two bronze replicas.
