Manx side thrash Newton le Willows on opening day
Ramsey’s Dan Bonwick was the star of the show at the Mooragh Park where his side racked up fifty points to beat Newton le Willows 50-10 in Lancs/Cheshire 3.
Bonwick ran in twice in the first half and other scores came from Neil Long and skipper Henry Swithinbank.
Scott Kneale was flawless with the boot and he kicked four conversions and a penalty to leave Ramsey 31-0 ahead at the break.
In the second half Matty Meechan and Abuu Migoda both added tries for Ramsey who built an unassailable 45-0 lead.
Steve Chappell and Keith Tickle both went over for Newton, but Bonwick had the final say when he completed his hat trick in stoppage time.
