Good entry for festive event
Cycling - Matthew Bostock was the winner of the Quinn Legal World Hamper Championship road race.
The former European Track Team Pursuit gold medalist took the honours in the festive event at Jurby yesterday.
Tom Mazzone and Tosh Teare completed the podium with Amelia Sharpe the first female across the line.
The organising club Manx Viking Wheelers will make a donation of £400 from entry fees to the James Berry Fund.
The charity was established in 2006 in memory of a promising young cyclist who tragically lost his life in an accident whilst out training with fellow Manx cyclists.
The main purpose is to help young competitors on the Island experience racing away from home.
