Island fighter to take on Kirsty Hill in August
Isle of Man professional boxer Jade Burden will face a reigning Commonwealth champion for her next scheduled fight.
The local fighter's announced she's due to take on Commonweath Lightweight Champion Kirsty Hill in a non-title bout on Saturday, 23 August at Grimsby Auditorium.
Confirming the showdown on social media, Burden's team is describing this test as a 'huge step up' and that they're 'willing to travel anywhere, for anyone.'
It's been more than six months since Burden was last in the ring when she defeated Kerry Orton on a points decision in Birmingham on 15 December last year.
The Manx competitor had previously been due to fight again on 27 April this year, however that contest was called off less than two weeks before it was scheduled to be held.
Since making her debut in the pro ranks in 2024, Burden has won both of her professional fights so far.
