Manx fighter was due back in the ring tomorrow (3 Oct)
Isle of Man professional boxer, Mathew Rennie has withdrawn from his latest fight which was due to take place this week.
The Manx competitor had been due to return to the ring at BOXPARK Liverpool tomorrow (3 October).
In an update on social media, however, 'Magic' Rennie has announced he's pulled out of the contest due to illness.
Furthermore, he says he's 'gutted' to cancel but is thanking his coaches for their work as well as supporters who were planning to attend, adding it's 'now time to rest up and focus on the near future.'
This calendar year, the Island-born boxer has two victories to his name with the most recent of those a unanimous points win over Harley Hodgetts in July.
His pro record currently stands at 16 wins, one draw and one defeat.
