Isle of Man Football referee Tony McMeiken finished officiating last Saturday's Premier League match between St. John's and Rushen despite breaking his arm after just 10 minutes.
The injury happened when he accidentally collided with a St. John's player, but Tony only discovered how bad it was after going to Nobles Hospital in the evening.
The Isle of Man Football Association is expressing its sincere thanks to Tony saying to continue refereeing despite clear discomfort is of great credit to him and is an example to all.
They also wish Tony a speedy recovery - he will be out of action for at least six weeks.
