Teen's achievements recognised by supporters club
A teenage Manx athlete has been recognised for her achievements by the British Athletics Supporters Club.
Catherine Reid has been named the BASC's Young Female Athlete of the year.
The 17-year-old from Port St Mary, representing Great Britain, won a bronze medal in the 400m at the World Youth Championships in Cali, Colombia, in July.
She also came second over the same distance at the English Athletics Under-20 Championships.
Her new PB of 52.25 seconds is the second-fastest ever by a British 17-year-old.
