The women's and men's senior National Road Race Championships, which Mark Cavendish was due to ride in this weekend in East Yorkshire, has been cancelled.
This is due to the exceptional rainfall in the area earlier this week.
The decision to cancel the event was made by the Humberside police on Wednesday morning.
