Candidate comes forward in Rushen

A businessman from Rushen has declared he will stand in the constituency at the upcoming general election.

Forty-nine-year-old Laurence Skelly runs wholesale business Manx Inspirations with his wife Jackie, and is a partner in event management company Destination Isle of Man.

He has also served on a number of boards and committees, including as chairman of the Port St Mary Regeneration Committee, now know as the South West Regeneration Committee.

Mr Skelly has also been a member of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce and Port St Mary Business Association.
