Manx cyclist Mark Cavendish survived a crash in a mass pile-up on Stage Three of the Giro d'Italia to finish 9th.
After dusting himself down, the Laxey rider clawed his way back to the peleton to get involved in the final sprint for the line.
Cav was blocked twice in the last few hundred metres but he did stay upright as two riders crashed into the barriers on his left.
Cavendish is 135th overall, 11 minutes and 38 seconds off the lead.
