German Kittel takes first win of 2016 race
There was no third win in four days for Mark Cavendish at the Tour de France today.
Things had looked pretty good for the Manxman going into the final kilometre or so, but he ended up boxed in and was unable to contest the sprint finish.
It was won by German Marcel Kittel, who held off Bryan Coquard to take victory by an even slimmer margin than Cav did yesterday.
Today was the longest stage of this year's race, 232km from Saumur to Limoges.
