Mark Cavendish finished at the back of the field in the sixth stage of the Tour de France today.
Following yesterday's fantastic victory, on relatively flat terrain, the latest leg included two major climbs, which meant the sprint specialist was less likely to shine.
He was officially placed 168th out of 176 finishers, over 17 minutes behind the stage winner, although the last 52 riders were all given the same time.
Friday's stage is also relatively tough, but the one on Saturday looks more promising.
