Manxman races for the first time since Epstein-Barr diagnosis
Mark Cavendish finished eighth on the opening stage of the Vuelta a San Juan in Argentina.
It's the first time the Manxman has raced since being diagnosed with the Epstein-Barr virus for the second time in August last year.
Cavendish was towards the front of the peloton inside the final kilometre, but it was Colombian rider Fernando Gaviria of UAE-Team Emirates who took the stage win.
The second of seven stages takes place this evening.
