Manx Missile misses time cut on eleventh stage
Manx cyclist Mark Cavendish has been eliminated from the 2018 Tour de France after failing to make the time cut on a gruelling Stage 11.
The route saw competitors ride between Albertville and La Rosiere.
Cav wasn't the only big name to fall victim to the mountain stage, with fellow sprinter Marcel Kittel also eliminated.
Cavendish was dropped on the Montee de Bisanne - the first climb of the day - as he went up the Col du Pre almost half an hour behind the race leaders.
It got worse for the Manx Missile - who is second on the all-time list of stages won at the Tour de France - as he finished up more than an hour behind Stage 11 winner Geraint Thomas.
This is the fifth time Cavendish has failed to finish the race.
