After weeks of speculation, World Champion cyclist Mark Cavendish is to join Team Sky for next season.
The Manx Missile announced the move on Twitter late this afternoon.
The 26-year-old from Laxey will be joined by great friend and former HTC Highroad team-mate Bernie Eisel - Eisel has been one of Cav's top lead-out riders at big events like the Tour de France.
Cavendish is quoted by BBC Sport as saying - "I'm confident that we can achieve success with the guys at Sky and my main aim is to win stages and the green jersey at the Tour de France."
