
One of the legends of the Olympic Games is giving his support to Mark Caverndish, ahead of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards.
Cav has been short listed for the main prize, after a great year which included six Tour De France stage wins.
And, speaking to the Chamber of Commerce Christmas luncheon at the Hilton Hotel, five-time Olympic gold medalist Sir Steve Redgrave said he was sure Mark would see gold in London in 2012:
