One-day race will cover mostly flat 198km route
Mark Cavendish will be at the forefront of the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl team set to compete at the Gran Piemonte in Italy this week.
The 'Manx Missile' - who in the early part of the season tasted success at the Milano-Torino race - will be part of a seven-strong squad contesting the event this Thursday (6 October).
The one-day Gran Piemonte event runs on a largely flat 198km route from Omegna to Beinasco.
Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl sports director, Davide Bramati, says they're hoping for another good result in the final race week of the season.
