Manxman chosen to lead Quick-Step team
Mark Cavendish will race in the Giro d'Italia for the first time since 2013.
The Manx Missile will be leading the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl team when the race gets underway on Friday.
Cav has five Giro d'Italia appearances under his belt and has won fifteen stages in that time - he also won the points classification when he last raced nine years ago.
The three-week event gets underway in Budapest and will finish in Verona, Italy on 29 May.
