The pair also contested the Ghent Six in 2007 and won madison gold together at the World Track Championships in London in March.
Wiggins reflected afterwards it had been ‘an incredible 12 years’ during which time the pair had ‘achieved so much together’.
Wiggins had hinted he may retire after the event but is keeping his options open.
