Rossborough Mixed Hockey Premier League Champions Vikings "A" made a winning start in the campaign to retain their title.
They beat their own "B" team 3-1 thanks to goals from Tom Wilson, Neil Crowe and Tim Henderson.
Chelsea Bawden got the consolation against the senior side.
A weakened Bacchas "A" battled hard to earn a draw against Ramsey "A".
Bacchas were missing several players due to a wedding but earned a 2-2 draw with the northerners thanks to strikes from Tony Bentley-Roberts and Chris Whiting.
Billy and Jan Cain scored for Ramsey.
A more youthful Valkyrs "A" got their season off to a winning start with a 2-0 victory over Celts.
