The Manx Motorcycle Club has announced a relaxation in it's rider eligibility rules for the 2008 Manx Grand Prix.
Previous winners of Newcomers, Classic, Lightweight and Ultra Lightweight races, plus riders who have previously competed in the T.T., will be allowed to enter next year's Lightweight and Ultra Lightweight races.
However, anyone who has qualified to start in any T.T. solo race on the Mountain Course in the last three years, or anyone who has won a T.T. solo race silver replica on the Mountain Course in the last six years, will be excluded.
But any rider eligible for the MGP will not be excluded solely because they have competed in T.T. racing on the Billown Circuit.
In addition, previous winners of Newcomers, Classic, Lightweight and Ultra Lightweight MGP races will be able to enter next year's Junior and Senior races.
Finally, four-stroke two-cylinder up to 650cc will be allowed in the Ultra Lightweight and Newcomers "C" races along with 125cc and 400cc machines.
