
Several charities are set to benefit from this year's Scottish Widows Parish Walk.
Organisers are encouraging people to arrange sponsorship for the 85-mile event.
With British forces currently in action in several areas of the world, ABF The Soldiers' Charity and the British Legion are among the organisations named.
Race director Ray Cox says raising money for good causes has always been part of the event:
