Sam West wants to see an end to race cancellations
A competitor at this year's Classic TT is calling on the organisers of the event to become creative in a bid to avoid cancellations.
In a post on social media, Sam West claims this year was an anti-climax as he didn't get to compete on his Ducati.
He was due to take part in the Senior Classic race but it didn't go ahead as conditions were not ideal.
The motorcycle racer says the cancellations make it difficult for him to justify his non-participation to sponsors.
The Clerk of the TT Course says Friday's contingency session couldn't be used because they didn't have enough volunteers.
The Senior Classic TT race couldn't take place because damp patches around the course hadn't cleared in time ahead of the roads needing to reopen.
The two races that did run also had to be shortened.
