
The 19th Commonwealth Games officially began with a spectacular opening ceremony tonight.
Among the thousands of athletes and officials to parade through the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi were those from the Isle of Man.

Andrew Roche, regarding being the Isle of Man team flag bearer for the opening ceremony said, "I'm honoured to carry the flag in what will be my last games.
"It's a great opportunity for my two boys to be able to watch me back home."
