Corinthians 4-1 St George's
Champions St George's will start the new season on the back of a crushing 4-1 defeat at the hands of Corinthians in the Eric Fletcher Charity Shield.
Goals from Stephen Whitley, Dan Simpson, Sean Doyle and Luke Murray earned the Whites the win at the Bowl.
Jay Skelcher-Maxwell was on target for Geordies as they halved the deficit to 2-1 shortly after the interval.
But the Ballaflecther club proved too much for a young St George's side, who will be looking to bounce back on the opening day of the domestic campaign on Saturday (18 August).
