Corinthians' women win again

League leaders Corinthians maintained their position at the top of the Sure Mobile women's league on Sunday with a 6-1 win over Gymns. Jade Burden grabbed four, while Sarah Kerford and Voirrey Holmes also hit the back of the net. Dawn Quinn got one back for Gymns.

Elsewhere Colby claimed a 5-3 away victory over Laxey, Douglas Royal beat Castletown 7-0, it was 0-0 between Michael and Ramsey and Peel vs Rushen was postponed.

In the Cu-Plas divisions, Corinthians are through to the Division One cup after soundly
beating St Mary's A 3-1, thanks to goals from Josh Ridings, Max Stokoe and Daniel Gerrard. Craig Murphy scored in the first half for St Mary's.

In Division One, leaders St John's A suffered a surprise 3-2 loss to Peel - all five goals were scored in the second half.

Meanwhile Laxey took the spoils against Ayre 3-0 and Colby beat beleaguered Union Mills, 5-1.

In Division Two Old Boys failed to hold onto a first half lead, going down 3-1 to Onchan, and St Johns B and Castletown shared the points with a 1-1 draw.
