Cricket: Isle of Man announces squad for European T10 championships

Manx side heading to Spain for international event next week

Isle of Man Cricket has confirmed its lineup to take on an international T10 event next week.

Fourteen players have been selected for the side which will contest the Dream11 European Cricket Championship 2024 at the Cartama Oval in Malaga, Spain from 23-26 September.

Led by captain Ollie Webster, the Manx side have been drawn in group one where they're joined by Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Slovenia and Turkey.

The Isle of Man's first match will be against Croatia next Monday (23 September) at 7.30pm local time.

The tournament is running in a new format for 2024 which sees it being split into two divisions - Premier Division and Challenger Division.

The Isle of Man is competing in the first of two groups in the Challenger Division - the second group consists of Cyprus, Czechia, Greece, Luxembourg and Serbia.

Firstly, the group stage of the Challenger Division will be held between 23-29 September followed by the play-offs from 30 September-2 October.
