Manx player joins programme for 2024
Young Isle of Man cricketer Lucy Barnett has secured a place at a centre for excellence in England for 2024.
Barnett has been named in the Emerging Players Programme (EPP) at Central Sparks for the upcoming year.
She's one of 19 players making up the squad with the other members hailing from the English counties of Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire.
Back in August, Barnett was Vice-Captain of the Isle of Man Women's T20 squad which went on to win the 2023 ECN Continental Cup in Romania.
What's more, Barnett won the accolade of player of the tournament there having registered a total of 173 runs without being dismissed as well taking six wickets, two catches and a run out.
