Manx side third in table going into final group games today (3 August)
The Isle of Man U13 boys cricket squad have enjoyed a positive group stage campaign whilst competing at the NW U13 World Cup this week.
The Manx side have taken four wins along with one loss during the opening three days of competition which have been disrupted at times due to the wet weather.
Day one on Monday saw the Island team take victory over New Zealand before wins on day two over Canada and Sri Lanka.
Yesterday saw also saw the Isle of Man start in winning fashion, overcoming the West Indies before the Manx squad encountered their first stumbling block of the series as they were beaten by a clinical Australia.
After day three of play yesterday, the Isle of Man sat third in the overall standings on 48 points - the only nations ahead of them were table-toppers England (Newbuildings CC) on 58 with Australia (Donemana CC) in second on 54.
The remaining group stage fixtures are taking place this morning with the knockouts getting underway this afternoon.
