Irish driver Keith Cronin has a 1 minute 44.6 second lead over Gwyndaf Evans going into the second and final day of Rally Isle of Man.
The current British Champion described conditions over the final stages last night as treacherous when driving with just cut slick tyres on his car as the rain became heavy.
He did have a big moment on the last stage through West Baldwin but survived the scare.
Coming into the overnight halt, Cronin knows there is work to be done despite his respectable lead:-
Steven Quine and Richard Skinner are the leading Manx crew in 5th place overall. That's after Nigel and Michaela Cannell hit problems on yesterday's 13th and last stage.
The rally resumes from the T.T. Grandstand at just before 9 o'clock on Saturday morning.
