
Cronkbourne have won the Standard Bank Tinker Cup.
On Saturday they beat holders Peel and St John’s by nine wickets to take the trophy for the seventeenth time.
Put in to bat, the Saints were dismissed for 108 - Greg Hawke made 25 and skipper Chris Hawke 24.
Matt Ansell took 3 for 24, while Alex Stokoe and Max Stokoe claimed two wickets each.
Max and Adam McAuley then began the Cronkbourne reply with an opening stand of 85.
Stokoe then fell lbw to Nick Hawke for an excellent 43.
Luke Lacey joined McAuley and the pair guided Cronkbourne to victory.
Adam ended on 26 not out and Luke won the match with a towering six.
Chris Till of sponsors Standard Bank presented the cup to Cronkbourne and also the man of the match trophy to Max Stokoe.
