Manx records broke by Isle of Man's swimmers
Team Isle of Man swimmers have set a new Manx record at the Commonwealth Games.
The 4 x 100m Mixed Freestyle Relay contingent broke the Island record for a second time yesterday in Glasgow (25 July).
Ella Justice, Kiera Prentice, Harry Robinson and Joel Watterson recorded a time of 3 minutes 38.65 seconds:
Swimmer Laura Kinley also took part in the Women’s 100m breaststroke semi-final.
She recorded a time of 1 minute 13.03 seconds - just outside of her season best which was set in the morning:
In bowls Mark McGreal was defeated by Commonwealth champion Aaron Wilson from Australia.
The two men went face to face in the Men's Singles Sectional Play.
Yesterday morning McGreal had taken victory over Roydan Laperau of the Cook Islands in the Men’s Singles tournament:
In the Women's Pairs Sectional Play Paula Garrett and Caroline Whitehead were beaten in two sets by Northern Ireland.
It followed a spirited performance against Australia:
