Cycling: Becky Storrie to compete at Giro D'Italia Women

Fellow Island rider Lizzie Holden now also confirmed to compete in Italy

Manx pro cyclist Becky Storrie will compete in this year's Giro D'Italia Women.

The 25-year-old has been named in the Team dsm-firmenich PostNL squad for the Women's WorldTour event taking place from 7-14 July.

Racing alongside Storrie will be teammates Francesca Barale, Eleonora Ciabocco, Franziska Koch, Juliette Labous, Josie Nelson and Nienke Vinke.

In her most recent results, Storrie finished 23rd in the elite women's road race at this year's British National Road Championships in which her teammate Pfeiffer Georgi took victory.

Prior that, the Island rider managed a 41st-place finish overall at the 2024 Tour de Suisse.

Elsewhere, it's also been confirmed this afternoon fellow Island rider Lizzie Holden will also take part in this year's Giro D'Italia Women.

Holden has been named in the UAE Team ADQ squad for the event along with Silvia Persico, Chiarra Consonni, Dominika Wlodarczyk, Erica Magnaldi, Eleonora Gasparrini and Alena Amialiusik.

It'll be Holden's first competitive outing since 18 June where she claimed a 50th-place overall finish at the Tour de Suisse.
