Manx rider part of GB team competing in Chile this week
Manx pro cyclist, Matthew Bostock will begin his campaign at the 2025 UCI Track World Championships later today (22 October).
The Island rider is part of the Great Britain men's endurance squad for the event taking place in Santiago, Chile from 22-26 October.
He's one of 22 competitors representing GB at the meeting with the national team due to take part in the men's endurance, men's sprint, women's endurance and women's sprint races.
Bostock is first due out on track just after 4.30pm UK time this afternoon (12.31pm local time) for opening qualifying of the men's team pursuit.
The first round of the men's team pursuit is currently scheduled for 11.18pm UK time (7.18pm local time).
The UCI considers these championships as it's leading annual track cycling event with 22 titles up for grabs - 11 for men and 11 for women.
It includes the six specialties on the programme for the Olympic games - keirin, madison, omnium, sprint, team pursuit and team sprint.
Elimination, individual pursuit, points race, time trials and scratch races are also on the schedule.
This is also the first time the championships have been held at Velódromo Peñalolén in Santiago.
