He last competed there in 2019
Mark Cavendish is set to return to the scene of one of his iconic wins in Belgium later this month.
The Manx Missile will make a highly-anticipated return to the Ghent Six this year, partnering with Belgian rider Iljo Keisse.
Cavendish took a memorable overall victory at the velodrome there in 2016 alongside Sir Bradley Wiggins, just six months before Wiggins retired from racing.
However, Cavendish's last outing there in 2019 saw him crash on the opening night.
This year's Ghent Six will take place between Tuesday, 16 November and Sunday, 21 November.
Cavendish and Keisse - who are teammates in the Deceuninck - Quick-Step team - have teamed up twice before for the competition, finishing second in 2014 and fourth in 2019.
