Five-man team will compete in Ireland next week
Cycling Club Isle of Man has announced the team which will make the club's racing debut next week.
Five riders have been chosen to represent the men's squad when it competes at the Cairde Ras Tailteann in Ireland which starts on Wednesday, 15 June.
James Harrison, Corrin Leeming, Niall Quiggin, Mark Horsthuis and Adam Kelly have been confirmed as those who'll contest the five-day festival, which is considered one of the most prestigious cycling races in Ireland.
CC Isle of Man says the selections provide a mix of youth and experience with several of the riders having previously raced in multi-day events across Europe.
Team Manager, Conor Davies, says in the opening two stages of the race, he'd like to see the team get into or close to one of the classification jerseys.
He adds "racing in Ireland can be unpredictable so it makes sense to have multiple cards to play early on in the race."
