Latest project by Sporting Club Isle of Man
Sporting Club Isle of Man has announced it's launching men's and women's cycling teams, with the intention of competing in UK and international racing events from next year.
In a statement, the newly-created organisation said cycling is a sport the Isle of Man has been competing in 'at world levels for a number of years', pointing to the success and legacy of figures like Mark Cavendish and Peter Kennaugh.
Andrew Roche and Gianni Epifani are working with the support of the IoM Cycling Association to put the teams together from the existing pool of local talent that the Island possesses.
Cycling Club Isle of Man will also be involved in developing the cycling teams' own 'EcoKit', forming part of Sporting Club Isle of Man's kit deal with Hope and Glory Sportswear.
