Competition did not go without incident for Storrie
Manx cyclists Lizzie Holden and Becky Storrie completed the 2024 Tour de France Femmes yesterday (18 August).
Storrie, of Team dsm-firmenich PostNL, had to abandon the Tour on the seventh stage of the event due to a broken collarbone.
It's now the third time the rider has suffered the same injury.
This meant the 25-year-old could not compete in stage eight of the Tour either and ultimately led to Storrie finishing in the standings with a 'did not finish'.
Holden, for UAE Team ADQ, finished 78th in the general classification however the 26-year-old managed a best finish of 28 in the third stage of the competition in Rotterdam.
